Lost Souls

With stardust in our bones, we desire to shine,
Paint the sky our own and escape time.
The unfulfilled dreams that fill our eyes,
Once again crumble as the day arrives.
Rebel against the fate that descends,
We bloom with glory as the maze ends.
Our heartbeats await for the splendid light,
Yet a passion ignites with the arrival of night.
Wearing our sorrows blissfully we chase,
A little share of forever that now remains.
Going after infinity when our time's gone,
Moonlight shines our way back home.
In the end, that's what we all are,
Lost souls pretending to be shooting stars.
