Lost Then Found

Guilty, I have been
a prisoner of resentments
that manifest from within.

Shame was a feeling that was common,
low self esteem was at the highest volume.

Suffering from my own sabotage,
hope is what I saw as a mirage.

Plagued by a disease that deteriorated my moral being,
chasing the temporary, begging for help from the unseen.

Tears I shed, and time I've definitely lost,
until that one day hope personally came down from the cross.

The epitome of grace is having unshakable peace from within
searching no more, for the lost has been found once again.

Now I express gratitude in my every action,
longing for eternal satisfaction.

No longer bound or enslaved,
I am free, embracing the lives of many that were once lost like me.
