Love

If not for me who would love you?
Convincing me to stay with the beauty of flowers,
The necklaces you gifted me were like chains,
A prisoner to your "love",
You don't try to mentally break the ones you love,
You don't make them insecure,
Arguing with them becomes the only time you feel alive,
You don't know what love is,
Hurting her self-esteem to knock her down,
For the fear that if she leaves you,
You'd forever be alone,
You took her for granted,
Nor accepting the fact that what done is done,
Now you get to watch her in the arms of another,
Being truly and incredibly loved,
It was just a thing to you,
Something you thought you just deserved,
Honestly it was probably something you never should have earned.
