There is nothing worse than a fool in love
Unless, of course, that fool be you
"Love"-the word itself rolls off the tongue
Like a wave, one longs to trust it
But be warned, the sea is full of unpredictable tides
And one may find themselves lost in a hurricane
I long to trust them
They can be good, reliable...
But must I let down my guard?
Must I have a guard?
In answer, no
No to both, and no to them
What is worse
A fool in love
Or a fool afraid to love?
I know neither
Love has evaded me
Left me empty, tumbling like the sea
