Love and War

I realized you weren't innocent the day you stole my heart
borrowing my love and never tearing me apart
lost in our darkest days
you kept me from falling and screaming out your name

Fighting like soldiers on a battlefield
taking shots like we're in a never ending cold war
feeling the pressure of surviving in the end
we put down our weapons and call it the end

Placing band aids against our bleeding wounds
both surviving and making it through
when days got cold we kept on fighting
stormy weather, waiting for the day to be brighter

Never giving up
Risking it all
by looking in your eyes I could see it all
You loved me when I was unlovable
