Love Can be Painful

When we first met we fell in love,
you became my everything and I was yours.
We were gifts to each other from far above,
after you won my heart, by breaking through the doors.

Things were great at first,
then it got hard.
It felt like we were cursed,
almost like we were in your minds backyard.

When we broke up I hurt,
and the pain never went away.
Then you came to blurt,
that you loved me, and nothing would keep you at bay.

You were mine once more and I'll cherish you so,
for our love will only grow.

This Poems Story

I had wrote this poem when my first love had broken up with me because they said that it seemed to them that I wasn't comitted to the relationship. But after a few days of being away and not talking to me they had said they made a mistake because they loved me and wanted me back and I had wanted them back so much at the time that I had got back together with them and I thought that we would be together forever if they couldn't even go a week without taking to me.
