Love: Deeper Than the Ocean

When we are children,
Our love is organic,
Untouched by the poisons around us.
As we grow older our love grows more raw,
Almost like a sunburn feels in a warm shower.

Our love,
So strong,
And over concentrated.
That too much,
Or too little,
Can kill.

As humans,
We are stamped with a predetermined expiration date.
We grow and stop believing,
We grow and stop dreaming.
It's like our minds know what is coming.

So as we play in the sand as children,
We love all.
But once we are all grown up,
When we love,
It runs deep.
As deep as the ocean,
And to the moon and further.
