Love came into my life
Not as a frenzied whirlwind
Nor as a dazzling fireworks display,
But rather unassumingly.
Quiet as a leaf falling from a tree,
Graceful as the opening of a rose,
Tender as the softest touch,
And gentle as the first spring shower.
And yet, as love grew,
I began to experience all that poets had written.
Bells that sounded for only us,
Rainbows that appeared with the sun,
Silver lined clouds that covered us with hope and serenity,
And dreams that inspired and filled our days with eagerness.
Now as love grows older
It's charm and magic still remain,
Ever steadfast and alive in my heart.
For even time could not alter this special feeling
But only heighten it's perfection.
