Love Drunk

By

My skin and my resolve crumbles like drying clay,
breaking and tumbling like stone.

The forces of nature leave me weak and breathless
the strength of my love for you.

And suddenly, I’m falling like thunderclouds
and waterfalls, dizzy on your wine-sweet words.

And suddenly, my heart can’t bear the distance,
I want to feel your kiss, love-drunk in summertime.

My resolve and my skin are crumbling like drying clay,
breaking and tumbling like stones.

You leave me weak and breathless, dizzy on my
love-drunk heartbeat.
