Love for a Different Time?

Her love was strong, fierce even
She protected her man, tough, driven
Heart wide open to receive his love
Arm wide open to embrace , kisses soft as dove
She waits patiently , to receive. To be given
Yet from him there is no love

His love was weak, barely there
She was just a passing lover
But He knew how to use is hands, his stare
So she will be just the next cover
No love was given , nothing lost
He says she cannot have his heart

Pain too strong , so mind numbing
Took over her body at each word
He was callous, brutal even,
No looking back, no time to waste
He let her go, and picked up the pace.

Her love was strong , her love was fierce
He look around , and still felt it there,
Slowly the numbness of life had gone,
And how he missed her open embrace and dove kisses
He thought of all he had and all he lost,
He need not have worry, need not have wept
Because by his side she had silently crept
