Love in Vain

Love In vain
I love you! Do you love me?
Why can't we be happy?
Just you and I forever together,
Am I not enough for you?
Have I done wrong for you to stray?
I grieve and scream holding the demons at bay,
My tears create rivers and lakes,
I make the whole world shake.
Beneath my feet green grass grows,
Oh how does that river flow.
I just want your love and faith,
Is that too hard to make?
The sun weeps when my wails begin,
How it burns my skin.
The clouds pray,
They send patience my way,
I just want you to stay.
While the moon drifts in,
I say my goodbyes,
To happier places and to happier times.
