Love Is a Dream on the Beach
The waves hit the sand, the pillow hits my hand,
Because my heart has been broken into two and my eyes shut with glue.
I watch as the birds dance and sing as I hear my parents scream.
The thunder of the door makes me want to roar,
As the sun is coming over the horizon covering the palms of my hands
Remembering the idea of the sand,
And how it glistened in the night, oh so bright,
The crashing of the waves that makes me want to drift away.
That was just the dawn of the light making its way,
Its way to my heart to make it okay.
The sound of the birds makes me smile.
The smell of love is so near it makes me tear;
I tear my eyes open to see the people who brought me here.
