Love Is Addicting
They met when they were only sixteen
Some might think it was love at first sight
Their relationship was but a dream
Never demanding and never intrusive
Not even one lovers squabble to foresee.
Always warm, always cozy
Like wrapped in your favorite blanket floating on a cloud
The few times money became an issue,
Their was always a way to remedy it quickly
After all, nothing was going to stand between them.
Then they started their silent downfall
It all seemed to happen so suddenly
They started to find themselves doing things they would never do
The love between them was tough and pulled through
It was too strong to ever let go.
The quiet dreamful solitude had always been inviting
Though their relationship together was based only on loneliness
After all, how do you let someone else know
It is not a man or woman that you love,
It is only a substance?
