Love Is Blind

Love Is Blind

Love is blind they say
It makes the world appear
Something it is not
A pleasant deceiving plot

When love departs
The true semblance of things
Is revealed once more
The blindness subsides
And the misleading colours
That occupied our canvas
For a brief moment
Making grey days shine
Give way to reality
And take away the rhyme
Bringing back a sense of time
Without the nuisance of eternity

Love is blind they say
A blindness of great clarity
The way the senses awaken
The way a glimpse of eternity
Becomes a tangible reality
Within the passage of time
When the lips of lovers meet
As they embrace in the street
