Love Lost

By

Two hands brush
as we pass one
belonging to the other
A lovers smile, A cry of passion sparks our union
My vows lasting a lifetime
in my mind
Two hands that once touched
balled into fists
Holding back an urge to
lash out, our words are not
so kind, hurting to the core
How could we have had such
love that amounts to this?
Two hands part in disbelief
wondering at what is and once was
How can love be so blind not
to last?
Was it lust that dwindled and
died?
Will I ever find what my
heart longs for an
everlasting love that is not
blind?
