Love Me Not

By Lac Ha

Love me not for yesterday's kisses
parted love and parting kisses
Love me not, as though
There is something creeping
Nearing edges, falling ledges
Falling off what holds your bridges
In the dark, I hold what is waiting
Wearing sleeve against heartbeating
Love me
Love me not
Love me not for the sake of love
Love me once and tell me not
Love me twice and ask the lark
Am I your yesterday's love?
Beating against your heart
Love me
Love me not
When the heart causes hurt
Bursting light, mending hurt
This is what love had heard
Love me
Love me not
Love me
Love me not
These questions of love
Still travel still against our hearts
