Love Must Not Be Destroyed

Love is not a gamble
Love is not a toy
Love is a treasure
And it is not to be destroyed.
So when you say
Oh, my love can wait
Don't be surprised
When you hear,
"Checkmate."
The house of Love does have an opening and closing door
Love will welcome you in with open arms as never before
And love when scathed will say, "No more."
Love is the answer to a prayer
For that special someone who will care
Even through the darkest of nights
And who will bask lovingly in your sun
When your world is upright.
Love is giving to one another without a care or plead
And love is understanding when the time for silence is a need
And always filling the air with the sweet perfume of joy
No, Love is not a gamble
Love is not toy
Love is a treasure
And love must not be destroyed.
