Love on layaway

There you go again trying to put my love on layaway
Making your biweekly deposits of affection
Until you feel I'm paid in full
Good enough to call on a late night
But not good enough to make this thing right
Still calling her while promising me the ring
Whispering sweet nothings, and offering
empty embraces in hopes that I would stay
Clinging to this fools game playing
Russian roulette with my heart
Its not like you didn't know where I stood from the start
Shattered and contorted I was and you came
picked me up and loved me back together again
