Love on the Brain

The way she searched for words to spare
made faces tear with heavy hearts.
No sentence could structure a picture just right.
Her days became long and her throat grew dry.
She yelled out more words but none of them would do.
Nothing exciting or inviting,
Not charming or darling.
Nothing suited the feelings that came with the thought of you.
