Love till Infinity

‘I’ve been waiting long,
for four years.
Finally, we get along.’
She smiled among her tears.
Late homecomings, few lies,
invisible extra classes.
Love is a tie.
Pure, unconditional, no sly.
Her watch with him,
still ticking for each other.
Her wedding dress from him,
still longing for a happy heart.

‘How are kids?’
‘They’re doing good, yours?’
‘Mine is doing well too!’
Replies, they never planned for.
They’re not growing together,
but growing apart.
Distance between is large.
But hearts are at closest, like before.

Not all stories have beautiful end.
Not all stories end.
Love will forever last.
Love till infinity.
