Love Undefined

A feeling in your heart
The look of madness that gives pain
That makes your breaths part
The passion in your veins

Like a horse running
That has no reigns
A yearning to feel it
A letter you wish to burn

You can never kill it
No matter how much you learn
Whether it be Shakespeare
Or a romantic movie scene on the pier

People assume the only love is romance
If so no one would be as entranced
As a sinner looking up to their God
Or a mother looking at her child, awed

How odd it is
That we believe that love is a cheesy scene
Or something so plan and keen
Love cannot be defined
Love can be mean

Love cannot be cuisined
To the palette of our tastes
Love is and always will be
Without haste
