Love Was Like

Love was like a flower that had stood so strong and proud
Love was like a tower that never will be torn down
Love was like the mighty oak tree in both of our backyards
Love was like an Ace in a big ole' deck of cards

Love was like that pop where the fizz would never die
Love was like an eagle that with it's wings it'll fly
Love was like Cinderella after the glass shoe fit
Love was like a candle that will forever stay lit

But somehow the perfectness is over the love cannot thrive
In a relationship with another where you can not feel alive
The hate, blood, and tears spreed through that cold December night
Will forever and always make me fear for the bite

So there is one last thing I must say before the candlelight is out
love may just seem perfect but don't ever live with doubt
