Loved and Lost

our joy and sorrows, we draw from the same well
with always a tomorrow, in hope to dwell
no matter what - together or apart
love we shared, left an indelible impression upon our heart!

with loneliness creeping, upon our hearts and minds
and in tears weeping; with hate for humankind
with a little remorse, and scarce realization
we lose what we love, in a state of abrasion!

this journey on earth, is but temporary
yet, memories we contain; are principles of unitary
with always a desire to live much longer
and always a wish, to be a long-goner!

we'll only know what we loved we lost
but will truly begin to love, what we lost - when they are no more
loved and lost;
though lost, yet loved more and more and more!
