Lover Letters’ Ashes

Never before did you do something so deliberate
Love letters that were wrote with the purest of heart
Shredded by your hands that wrote them
Matches striked and words of love withered away to ash
Tears from remembering stream down my face

Happiness that we shared
only remembered by the moon
Embraces are no longer ours to own
You were a dream to me until I met you
A figment of my imagination stood in front of me
Broken pieces are all that is left now

I swept up the ashes and put them into a jar
Placed close to my heart
They became my cherished memories
You were suppose to be my knight
Instead you were the evil villian
