Lover of Mine

Your smile the sun behind the clouds,
Stretching its morning rays
A sign of hope, young and proud,
Erasing darker days

Your eyes the grain of polished wood,
Sparkling in the light
A sign of trust, understood
As innocent and right

Your voice the gentle crash of waves,
Melodic soothing song
A sign of power, Passion's slave,
Tempered, but always strong

So did the Earth give you to me,
As doth the clouds rain to the sea
