Love’s Palisade

We walk and walk on ocean shores
Filled with jagged rocks the waves hoard
Miles and miles we walk
Through the rain that falls as it pours
Hand in hand our grips tighten
Through slippery rocks the sun heightens
Casting shadows slowly as the clouds
Turn pearly white from its smug
At last there's the horizon coming through
The light that shines its beauty anew
The calmness settling in the oceans blue
No matter the weather we know its true
The sky, the water that is you
The vast possibilities you hold
I am just the tree you've chosen to grow
In a garden full of the unknown
No matter the weather, storms shall pass
Hold on stronger to nature's mast
With open arms and open eyes
We shall watch the sun rise
So we will walk and walk on ocean shores
As jagged rocks morph, smoothing
The miles of miles that we walk
Till macabre is nothing more
Paradise and the Gods above
Shall smile down unto this love
Which was fought for and won
At first sights where love had begun
