Love’s Secret Identity

The thing about love, it really does hurt.
You think this guy will always be the one who's right,
But at the end of the day, you're left lying in the dirt.
He leaves you to think your future is drifting away like a kite.

Your eyes shone bright with jealousy.
He came by and knocked down all your built-up walls.
You seriously thought he could love who you'd be.
So here you are, sitting, crying in the halls.

Now I know you think it's truly unbearable,
But I promise you, pretty girl,
Falling in love isn't always so terrible.
One day you'll meet someone who makes your thoughts whirl.

Someday you will thank me for this,
When you realize he's the last guy you'll ever want to kiss.
