Lullaby

A confused soul in the night
should I take it or should I fight
I have a lot to prove but little to show
or so I fear that no one knows
how much I long for you're warm touch
something that's priceless and this isn't lust
countless hours on the phone
but a simple screen to block us both
from one to five all I did was cry
but you asked me to sing you a sweet lullaby
now I'm up and one tear has shed
my lips are closed but words have been said
Whether through my heart or my mind
I know I'll always be you're sweet lullaby.
