Early in the morning getting my coffee she rubs my legs to say hello.
Walking to the table she out flanks me and lies on the floor.
I step past she persists this is the game we play.
I surrender to the strategy holding her for a few moments.
This morning with my coffee there is no greeting.
Dogs can be cruel you love them but you're setup for heartbreak.
