Make Me a Moth

Paint me earth colors
and blow me away.
Let me mingle
with fireflies; I will
drift on hearty
wingbeat.

And when I've seen
what I can, give
me a lamplight landingstrip,

practice front porch worship
in evening hours until
I fold my broad body
and rest
on window screens;

watch me sleep
under starry sky.
