Make You Believe

I baited my hook and cast my line;
I fished in a sea miles and miles wide.
So many took the bait, but still I had to decline,
for it just never felt right inside.

I was looking for someone to brighten my days,
in their very own, special ways.
At the time, little did I know
that it would start with your hello.

Our acquaintance has been brief,
but I hope to make you believe:
in yourself and happily ever after,
and hellos that don't end in disaster.
