Mama

I pick up my phone today to call you,
I miss your voice, I miss seeing you.
I remember you aren't here anymore,
You're now in paradise we all asked for.

I cried the moment I saw a flat line.
If I am dreaming, oh well that's fine.
If not , I wish I could just sleep for so long,
music can't help but see you in every song.

You may be unseen and unheard,
but you can now fly like a bird
who can guide and follow me
more than you do while with me.

As I celebrate my birthday today,
I felt sadness because you were away
but I'm glad you have no more pain,
worries that make you cry again.

Thank you for all those loving years,
sorry Ma I can't hold back my tears
thank you for teaching me so well,
I will smile as I wave my hand to say farewell.
