Mama Africa

I gave birth to a world that does not appreciate me.
That drinks from my bosom, while still refusing to
acknowledge me. I wail as they bite at my nipples,
sucking the oil, diamond, steel, copper, coltan,
rubber, and zinc out of me,
leaving nothing but sores on my skin.
When will they see my pain ?
When will they start to appreciate me ?
