Many Faces In The Mirror

Familiar, symmetrical, stunning, angelic.
A face of one, a face of many.
a face I often criticized,
a face that changed with moods,
a face whose eyes reveal what masks can't hide.

Interesting, wary, aloof, freckled.
A face to smile, a face to frown,
a face that blushed,
a face that glows when happy,
a face whose eyes exposed what's inside.

Haggard, haunted, pinched, pale
A face that sweats, a face shows pain,
a face that flushed,
a face that tells when I'm sick,
a face whose expression could be frozen in time.

Round, unassuming, chiselled, flat.
A face to behold, a face to remember,
a face that battled and lost to gravity,
a face that is uniquely mine,
a face that stares back at me in the mirror.
