Marionette

Dance marionette
dance because I tell you to
Move your legs marionette
show them what I can make you do
Do twirls, swing your hands
don’t forget to smile
Let’s pretend marionette
even if it’s just for a little while

Can we be friend’s marionette?
you and me forever
You’ll be like my sister
I’m good but together we will be better
Are you happy marionette?
do your strings need to come off?
Are they holding you behind?
have you had enough?

I cut off your strings
but you fell on to the ground
Not a movement
not a sound...
You just lay there broken
for the world to see
Why are you so weak marionette?
Is it because you are me?
