Mars

Where are you mars up in the sky? I see you on some nights.
Tell me of the life you have, the living forms you hide.
I see you high up in the sky, when you come close to the earth.
I look at you with wonder and awe and imagine what you birth.
Perhaps there's life after all, how grandiose are we?
To think that life in all its forms, originates from thee.
I dream of a land where I can go and be free to be just me.
I wonder if you, Mr. Mars, are just the place for me.
This world that we inhabit is cold and cruel and vain.
Please take me to another place where I don't feel so insane.
The look you have, the reddish hue, it leads me to believe.
That warmness fills your outer shell. The perfect place to be.
So tell me Mars, up in the sky, what is your reddish hue?
Is it the warmness that I seek? Or am I just a fool?
