Slipping off the string,
Untying the lie upon the stage,
Dispassionate surface,
Ripping scenes,
They’ll never see the true me I say,
That’s because they don’t want behind the stage,
Only the sophisticated denouement,
Curtains fall,
Applause ringing,
As if it were all so easy,
Flashing phony smiles,
Through gritting teeth,
I think I deserve more than this,
Not just temporary acknowledgement,
But they say you chose this road,
You’ll walk the path on knees if mandatory,
Spotlight blurring vision,
This was all an act.
