Masking Intimacy (corrected version)

By

where are we hiding
is it behind a mask?
or deep within ourselves?
a wall, or a door to open
to the depths within ourselves
to the depths hidden by others
I fear those who abolish them
I am not afraid of masks
the sign of flexible boundaries
and the respect for others' boundaries
a willingness to consider difference
a safety while taking risks
the true beginning to intimacy
a fear and a deeper fire
blocking our deepest desire
to relate to others from our soul
