We all wear masks
This fact is true
But wear the mask too long
And it will take over you

We wear masks to fit in
To blend in with the crowd
Even the meek and shy
Can become obnoxious and loud

We wear masks to hide pain
To hide the anger, the sadness, the sting
And though we smile on the outside
Inside we are weeping

Masks are used to hide ourselves
From our cruel and judging life
But take your mask off every now and then
Stop worrying about your daily strife

In the rush to fit in
Sometimes we all forget
That if we wear the mask too long
It will slowly start to set
