May Your Path Be Lit by Light

Starlight adorns the gilt-edged waves,
A route to heaven eternal tide paves.
Whispers, "May you always love the night,
And may your path be lit by light."
The silver orb remains in sky,
As silent night tiptoes on by.
But endless war, 'tween friend and friend,
Of push and pull, must someday end.
Even the moon must slip away,,
Confronted with dawn's piercing ray.
The ocean weeps her shining tears,
Unable to confront her fears.
Even as rises new dance,
One in which the sun's beams prance.
She who hates oppressing rain,
Must be forever entertained.
Sunlight glitters on sparkling waves,
A sight poet and artist craves.
Sings, "May you never yield the fight,
And may your path be lit by light."
