Looking into a mirror and what do I see,
Nothing special, it looks like me.
My face, my eyes, my nose and mouth.
But something else is there that does not stand out.
Walking through the hallway normal as can be,
Everyone is looking but they do not see me.
They see my face, they see my body.
They hear my voice and my breath but that is not me.
I hide inside this shell you see,
for my protection from all you see.
The fear that I will not be free
to be the person that here in me.
I touch, I feel, I bleed
I'm no difference, or can't you see.
There is so much more to me
Than anyone else will ever see.
