Meccas

It rains
All over the city
Just in case you forgot
This place is your home
Our homes are in our heads
But we don’t feel comfortable there anymore
We don’t really know what to say
She says we spent too much time in the darkest of cellars
Really, we were too afraid
Of what was to happen if we went out there
It rains
All over the city
With the tears of different people
Young and old, rich and poor
The worst suffering is being alone
Wipe your tears
Encourage your peers
Everything is going to work out for the best
It rains
All over the city
With cheers of joy
So pretty the Sunshine decides to join
I hope this poem
Helps you feel just a little bit better
In the city of rain
In your head
Don’t let such suffering flood out your happiness
Put some Sunshine in your thunder because sometimes rain happens
