Medicine Ball

Tell me what I want to know
Pretend it is a Broadway show
Lie to put my mind at ease
Wink and say it's just a tease
Once relaxed let me down
Do it but don't wear a frown
Smile to hide the pain you throw
Let it hit, then make it grow
Once it's grown, give me the gun
Lend a bullet, share the fun
Watch the trigger idle back
Countdown quickly, using tact
Shed a tear, pretend you're sad
Wear it well, or it'll look bad
Once it's done, grieve no more
Twas I that opened up the door
Tell me what I want to know
Dare to let me steal the show
If you really really care
Then tell me what I want to hear
If you can't then tell the truth
Shout it from the tallest roof
Lie no more endure the scorn
I promise not to be a thorn.
