I once knew a girl named Mel-o-dee
Yes, Mel-o-dee
And Mel-o-dee hated music,
Just hated it!
If she heard music inside, she'd go outside
If she heard music outside, she'd go inside

But this one day,
Mel-o-dee's town had a party
And there was music coming from all sorts of places
Inside. Outside. Between walls. Even up in her attic!
So Mel-o-dee,
She had an idea,

"I'll just dig a hole in the ground."

And well, she did
Then climbed, buried herself, right in this hole!
And you know something?
Mel-o-dee stopped hearing music, finally!
You know why?
She's dead.
