Melody of Moonlight

Do you hear it?
The sound of moonlight?
It's the murmuring of a wayward leaf as
it settles in the quiet embrace of a
lonely pond
The honey that slowly caresses the
curving side of a silver spoon
The expansion of the universe within
the confines of a lover's chest in the
breath of twilight
The settling of a moths wings as it
arrives in the gentle glow of dying
embers
The silken hush of a ladies skirt as she
meanders down a well worn path during
hours of restless slumber
We have been slow to learn
That vision and sound
Are unabashedly intertwined.
