Melt

I am in need of a hot, fiery ultraviolet friend
to melt the shackles
the icy chains binding my heart and mind
while I drift along an arctic malaise
camouflaging the horizon in shadow
spreading contagious frosts and debris

Where is that orangish-red sphere
whose soul bleeds and scalds
bleeds and scalds
until the subzero glacier of idleness
submerges into the murk from once it froze
