Melt with Me

Melt with me beyond time and space
Touch my skin within your warm embrace
Interlaced
Melt with me overhead the luminous stars
Meet me betwixt Jupiter and Mars

Melt with me.
Melt with me.

Melt with me upon the clouds
Where winds are soft and our seeds are sowed
Melt with me aloft the Galilean moons

Melt with me.
Melt into me.
Swoon! Swoon! Swoon!

This Poems Story

I am a native of Rhode Island and currently reside in Benton, AR, with my husband Jason while my twenty-five-year-old son remains in the Ocean State. The inspiration for this poem stems from a book I am presently writing-a science-fiction novel heavy on metaphysical and spiritual aspects. The book's notion is based around a spiritual concept called twin flames: one soul split in two before their incarnation on Earth. Each individual rediscovers their true essence through the other, thus feeling a completeness upon their reunification.
