Memorial

There comes a time when life seems unfair
Where your world shifts dramatically into a state of despair
When it seems to hard to hold on
When all you want to do is run from every emotion
Anger, Depression, Longing
You sink, so deep
That it feels like you can't breathe, like your drowning
Falling victim to yourself, accepting fate as it is
While everyone around you see's a smile on your face
No one realizes, its all a facade
Suddenly memories start to appear
Before your eyes the clouds disappear
Alas a path arises in front of you
Full of dreams and hope
The weight upon your shoulders, no longer holds
All that darkness that once surrounded you
Its buried six feet under
Only the faint ache makes you remember
Recall the stars as they shine
Know that they were their in your darkest time
Life isn't always divine
Showing your emotions isn't a crime and when you walk away
You can leave everything behind
