Memories

Growing near the street
As beautiful as the sky
Or two soulmates when they meet
I'd fall in love with the sweetness
Of the air as it breezes along
Or the gentle, quiet melody
A lullaby, a song
And as the people would listen
They'd feel something so pure
Yet barely there-a whisper
Or a small, mumbled murmur
It'd fill them up, it'd be there
When they were feeling weak
It'd be the best thing they could ask for
The best thing they could seek
And when the music faded away
And the love wasn't quite as strong
Those people who hadn't heard, or cared
They would be proven wrong
Because when the end got closer
The memories remained
So although some things were lost
Most importantly, things were gained
