Memories

By Unsaved

Even though they meant the world to me,
All those memories
They're too painful to bare.
And when you walk past I stop and stare.
Because all those memories,
They pierce my heart.
And one by one they rip me apart

If we got together again, I'd never be able to handle it.
Because all those memories
Of what you said to me,
Would haunt me the whole time.
And I don't want to go through this pain again.
I can't handle it now.
Because they're too painful to me,
All those memories.

But I'm trying as best I can to forget.
Piece by piece I'm picking up the shards of my heart,
And dumping them in the trash.
Because even though those memories, mean the world to me,
They're too painful to bare.
And those memories hurt me because
I know you probably don't even care.
